We really enjoyed our visit to the Ripon Prison & Police Museum. It was a very interesting place to visit and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Always worth a visit if you are in Ripon.

Great step back in time. I thing I found good was, prisoners in solitary confinement, were still given tasks to do like the crank. This was a handle which was connected to a gear system in side which the inmate could us. They also had almost vertical waterwheel to use as well. There were lots of hands on things for children and adults. Loads of cap badges and many other regimental paraphernalia.
