The vet we saw was very informative and, kind. I felt like I had an option with what we should do to help my dog (I understand sometimes there isn't another option), but I felt like I wasn't pressured into buying additonal things that wouldn't actually make much difference at all to my dogs recovery. I felt the vet was very understanding of my dogs needs, there was a scared dog in the back making a bit of noise, but she kept a calm positive tone which helped calm my dog when we needed him to be calm.
