Have just visited again to redeem a book voucher that my son was given for his birthday. If you are a parent in the Ripon area, and someone asks what they can give your child as a present, please tell them 'a Little Ripon/Ripon Bookshop token'. The new expanded Ripon Bookshop adjoining has allowed an even larger selection of children's books in the Little Ripon Bookshop. The shop is beautifully and imaginatively presented, family-run and they obviously LOVE books! The staff are friendly and knowledgable (the assistant this afternoon seemed to have read most of the books and could discreetly recommend selection as we were stuck). The atmosphere is relaxed, and I wanted to curl up in a corner with a book (in fact my son did just that!). My son says 'I recommend the Little Ripon Bookshop because it has a good variety of awesome books, and the staff are friendly and helpful'. I was motivated to post a review because independent shops like these contribute such character to a local area, and I want it to thrive in Ripon.

This shop is the embodiment of how the high street can fight back against the ravages of internet shopping.Unlike Whsmiths who have become complacent due to their size. And as a corollary are staffed by dim witted 20 somethings who become visibily annoyed when a customer interrupts their conversation about their Saturday night shenanigans. The Little Ripon Book Shop is how shopping should be. May it thrive.
Literally the sweetest book store youll ever lay your eyes on. The inside is very tidy and well organized and the staff is always kind and helpful.
It's not to be missed on a trip to Ripon. It's a delight to browse; you get as much help as you ask for in choosing the book you need; the owners and their family and their small well chosen staff are endlessly caring and helpful with a large helping of humour! Perfect...
